OUR- Block Party featuring the Underworld Black Arts Festival
We're taking over Hoffner Street again this year on Friday, October 3rd from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. And in PAR- fashion, we are collaborating - with Underworld Black Arts Festival - to create a unique Block Party atmosphere and help them kick off their weekend of festivities.
If you are unfamiliar with UBAF, the festival was launched in 2018 as a community-based project that celebrated Black creatives from around the world. Launched in Cincinnati, the festival acts as an incubator for experimental work, innovation, and intergenerational dialogue.
To kick off the weekend, PAR-Projects will be hosting its annual block party on Friday evening, closing off Hoffner Street from Apple to Cherry to present this neighborhood extravaganza featuring an art and artisan goods market, beer and wine garden and open gallery, while Underworld performers take the stage in the Studeō Courtyard.
Are you an artist, vendor, or Northside non-profit, interested in participating in the Block Party? The vendor application is now open. For more information or to submit your application, click on the link below.

Autumn exhibition: "Funky Ride: The South's Still Got Something to Say" // Open Call exhibition
PAR-Projects invites artists in a variety of media to submit work(s) for a 7-week group exhibition during the 2025 season. This exhibition is open to submission of hip-hop themed and/or street art media including drawings, paintings, tags, stenciling, postering and/or photographic or video documentation of street art, especially that located south of the Mason Dixon Line.
This exhibition, titled "Funky Ride: The South's Still Got Something To Say" appropriates the phrase used by Andre 3000 at the 1995 Source awards when OutKast won best new rap group for their debut album, “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.” A nod to fifty+ years of hip-hop, this exhibition honors the visual language of our culture.
This exhibition will run in The Gallery at Studeō PAR- from early September - November 3rd. The open call application for Funky Ride is now open. Click on the link below to submit your application before the June 30th deadline.
