Giving thanks to our people

As giving season approaches, we want to take a moment to recognize a few friends who we are truly grateful for. Whether old friends who have helped us throughout the years or new friends who are helping us make our arts community even more vibrant, we see you and we salute you! 

BIG THANKS to Pillo for the vibes:

You may have seen DJ Pillo providing the music for various events including our early events like the Factory Square Fine Arts Festival to this year’s Reggae in July. He’s been a friend to PAR- for over ten years and we can attest that he is gregarious, genuine and the master of bringing the sound and the party!  

A Salute & Thanks to the Betts Fam for the inspiration!

Our favorite power couple - Daniel Betts and Zonieke Alston-Betts have been in our corner since 2019. The owners of Pour Mobile Bar and now, Pour Candle Company, located in College Hill, these two inspire us with their entrepreneurial spirit and are quick to lend a helping hand whenever it is requested. Oh, and if you’ve had the jerk chicken at one of our Stage Series events, that’s Daniel’s genius.

Finally, giving a shout out to Open Cinema and its founders, Zachary Severt and Lillian Currens. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with these two since they brought their program to The Gallery at Studeō PAR. An ongoing project, Open Cinema screens free weekly films under a DIY and community-base ethos, curated to highlight different voices, artists and genres. Open Cinema broadens and enriches our arts hub on Hoffner Street and we are excited to see how this collaboration grows in the future. Thanks again goes out to the OC team for trusting us with their vision!
